Ref: PR2186
Date: 07/04/09
Local residents are being invited along to the first public board meeting on the development of the Westfield Lane area in South Elmsall.
The Westfield Lane Improvement Area Board will meet to discuss driving forward regeneration in the area and share thoughts.
As well as Wakefield Council, the Homes and Communities Agency, Wakefield and District Housing, Chevin Housing Association and Frickley Athletic Football Club will also be involved.
Following the main meeting, there will be a short period where residents can ask questions about regeneration in the area.
Cllr Denise Jeffery, Wakefield Council's deputy leader and cabinet member for regeneration, will chair the meeting and she said: "The aim of this meeting is to keep people informed about the plans for the area and also receive some feedback.
"For us to all move forward we need to work together and by doing this we can hopefully see some real improvement and investment."
The event is being held on Thursday, April 9 at 2pm at the Broad Lane Business Centre on Westfield Lane.
