Sep 2009 - Wakefield Council helps boost skills
Ref: PR 2328
Date: 14/09/2009
People across the Wakefield district still have time to take up a host of courses to help boost their skills and confidence.
Wakefield Council’s Adult Education Service offers a wide range of new and exciting courses.
The courses offer the chance to learn skills in computing, foreign languages, arts and crafts or take the opportunity to take up childcare, health and social care.
Cabinet member for Adults Cllr Maureen Cummings said, “Many people across the district have already benefited from these courses. They are a great way to help people find employment or gain confidence - helping improve their employment chances.”
Many of the courses are free while others are free to those in receipt of certain benefits.
