Skills Enterprise and Work Partnership

The skills enterprise and work partnership has been developed to drive forward the economic development and learning agendas as set out in the Community Strategy and Local Area Agreement.

The new group ensures that more work opportunities are available, that people have the right skills which employers are looking for and that the district continues to develop a forward looking culture.

The work of the partnership aims to bring more people into employment by meeting employers’ skills needs, help those with mental health and learning disabilities gain employment and aid business growth, confidence and motivation throughout the district.

The partnership will drive forward LAA targets  in a cohesive and integrated way and  ensure Wakefield Together grows from strength to strength  to help deliver Wakefield District as a place where people have the highest standard of opportunity to improve their lives.
