Wakefield Together has three 'thematic partnerships' - Healthier Communities, Safer and Stronger Communities, and Skills, Enterprise and Work.

Each 'thematic partnership' is responsible for overseeing the main priorities contained in the LSP strategies, the Local Area Agreement and Wakefield Community Strategy: Developing Knowledge Communities.

Members of each group tend to have a specific interest or expertise in the area of work, for example the Chair of the Healthier Communities Partnership is the Chief Executive of Wakefield District Primary Care Trust.
