Wakefield Together has 'thematic partnerships' which are responsible for overseeing the main priorities contained in the LSP strategies, the Local Area Agreement and Wakefield Community Strategy: Developing Knowledge Communities. 

Members of each group tend to have a specific interest or expertise in the area of work, for example the Chair of the Healthier Communities Partnership is the Chief Executive of Wakefield District Primary Care Trust.
